Guide To A Jamaica Vacation
Who wouldn't want to vacation in Jamaica? Jamaica is the birthplace of what we call the all-inclusive resort, and is an island that offers beauty, beaches and mild climate. Vacationing in Jamaica offers every couple or family endless opportunities for a relaxing getaway or a non-stop adventure!
Planning a Jamaica vacation is more than planning what you'll do once you're there! There are many ways to get into Jamaica, from airplane to cruise ships to ports that allow sailors traveling solo to float to and from the island as they wish. Jamaica has two international airports that you can fly into from wherever you are, and then either arrange for transport by car to one of the various hotels or resorts or take another smaller plane to one of the many small airports located around Jamaica. Cruise ships stop in the larger ports regularly, and while the cruise passengers don't stay long they can explore many exciting attractions near the ports.
Jamaica offers an abundance of activities for tourists. You could spend an afternoon hiking through the mountains, snorkeling face to face with tropical fish, or chartering a yacht for a leisurely day on the water. Enjoy a piece of Jamaican culture by attending a festival or event on the island- or stop in to one of the numerous shops offering native crafts and gifts.
Nightlife in Jamaica sizzles, from Negril to Montego Bay to Kingston-there is no shortage of restaurants, bars and dance clubs. If you like to take risks, you'll enjoy the Jackpot Jungle casino in Montego Bay, where you can try your hand on some of the 120 slot machines using US currency.
Sports are part of Jamaica's culture, and golf courses are located around the island. You'll be amazed at the service golfers receive on the green- including personal service from your own individual caddie!
You could plan to stay in an all-inclusive, luxury resort and never set foot outside the resort gates! Everything you need is at your disposal, round the clock. Spend your days lounging on the beautiful island beaches, participating in water activities or sight seeing, and spend your evenings enjoying nightlife right inside the resort. If you prefer smaller, more intimate vacation rentals, you could book a bed and breakfast or small bungalow in other areas of Jamaica.
